Headphones that comply to standards

We produce and sell headphones all over the world. That's what we do, and with a hint of being biased I'd say we're pretty good at it. Our biggest battle is the increasing number of cheaper products being sold on the bigger marketplaces (one of which started out selling books on-line). No producer likes competition, however if you do have competition you hope that their offering is better and will fundamentally make you realise that you will have to raise your game. The growing competition from (mainly Far East) being sold in Europe is alarming over the past couple of years, and whilst we understand the need to remain consistently competitive in an ever changing market it seems that the marketplace are favouring products merely on the cheapness of the product. Okay, the customer needs the best value. That is fine. If the product was better and complies with all the standards required to be passable in Europe then fine, no problem, we have to find products to meet the on-line demand for our customers. That being said, I do not believe these companies are complying. I am not mentioning any in particular producer/trader as I do not want to come across as being petty however understanding the marketplace as I do, then the cheaper alternatives visibly being shipped from overseas cannot of paid for the products to be tested, or paid for the products to have specific parts and materials which makes them safer to use.
